Danny Sterling was born and raised in Noble, where his family owned a dairy farm. He attended  Noble Public Schools and graduated from Oklahoma State University in the top 10% of his class.  He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agriculture education from OSU.

Danny worked at Tecumseh Public Schools for 40 years, where he taught agriculture education and served as assistant principal and principal at Tecumseh High School. He served for 17 years as co-director and manager of the Central District Livestock Show in Shawnee. He also served as President of the Oklahoma Agriculture Education Teachers Association.

Active in the community, Danny has served on the Pottawatomie County Fair Board and the Shawnee Agri-Business Task Force.

An avid outdoorsman, Danny developed and maintains fish and wildlife habitats on his farm. He also runs a small cattle operation on his Tecumseh homestead. He is a member of the NRA.

Danny and his wife, Jenna,  have four sons and six grandchildren. They are members of Faith
Christian Church, where they help sponsor missions, youth activities and camps.

Rep. Danny Sterling is a dedicated and respected leader in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He is Chairman of the A&B Judiciary Subcommittee, and Vice Chairman of the Common Education Committee. He also serves on other major committees including: Appropriations and Budget, Public Health, Judiciary and Public Safety Oversight, and Joint Committee on Appropriations and Budget.

Danny has earned a reputation as a strong and articulate advocate on education, public health, judiciary, and budget issues. He has challenged powerful special interests seeking legislative deals benefiting a select few.

It is an honor to serve as your state representative. I have listened to your concerns and diligently worked to bring about needed changes that you have wanted in our communities and our state.
